More About Us

Our Olives

We pride ourselves on establishing relationships with other small producers like ourselves. The provenance (and traceability) against all our products is very important to us, to ensure the quality of everything we sell and make us stand out from the crowd.

We source many of our olives directly from regional producers, with farms in Western Sicily and Ancona, Italy. Our partners devote themselves to the cultivation of table olive "Nocellara del Belice" produced with passion and experience using traditional family recipes for seasoning artichoke, garlic and mushroom.

Crete and Greece complete the picture with mezzes to guarantee you a taste experience to remember and bring the exciting flavours of the Mediterranean to your table.

Our Herbs

We started our herb garden in 2010 and dress many of our olives with marinades we lovingly prepare using fresh, seasonal herbs and garlic from our Potager, grown without the use of any pesticides or chemicals. Where possible, we grow the herbs we use during the summer and dry any surplus for use during the winter.

Our dressings reflect our own personal tastes and change throughout the year to reflect the inspiration gained from some of our travels in Sicily, France, Italy and Spain. We hope you like them!

Latzimas Gold Extra Virgin Olive Oil

These Single Estate, first cold press, Extra Virgin Olive Oils are produced from the famous Cretan 'Koroneiki' olive, growing in the North Mylopotamos, Rethymno, Crete an area which has all the necessary conditions, such as soil and microclimate, to produce one of the best olive oils.

Latzimas Gold's pure green colour, fruity aroma and mellow, light peppery after taste makes savouring it a unique experience.

Fruit and Nuts

Traditionally roasted, Italian inspired, seasoned nuts baked in their own natural oils, without the use of artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives. These are roasted by an Italian family-run Artisan company in the UK. Where possible, all our fruit and nut is ethically sourced from a community food group.

Bread and Pastries

At all our regular markets, we work with Le Petit Croissant Bakery, a French bakery based in Stratford-Upon-Avon, which produces the very finest artisan French Bread, Pastries and Croissants. These are all baked daily and delivered direct to our market, sometimes still warm for your delight.

Where possible, we use eco-friendly packaging. At our markets, we use strong, compostable carrier bags made from a mix of PLA and PBAT. These are ideal for groceries and can be reused as a food waste caddy liner. Our deli pots and product bags are made from plant based materials too and can be composted.

Hygiene Rating

We have been registered with Warwick District Council since 2009, since then we have held a continuous 5* hygiene rating.
